ANTI DEFECTION LAW#
To understand this we have to know the constitution of India. The constitution of India is the supreme law of India. It gives total working of India and It became effective on January 26, 1950. It consists of 22 parts of which there are 395 articles, and 12 schedules. Amendment is any change made to the constitutions. There are 105 amendments done to the constitution of India till date. The anti defection punishes members of parliament( MP's) and MLA's for defecting from one party to another by Disqualifying them from their respected position. It was added to the constitution as the 10th schedule of the constitution. This is popularly know as anti defection act, which was included into constitution via the 52nd amendment act, 1985.
