The terms folding, warping, faulting are related to the geomorphology. this is a topic of geography. FOLDING: Folding is a type of earth movement resulting from the horizontal compression of rock layers by internal forces of the earth along plate boundaries.  Upfolds are termed anticlines. The downfolds are termed synclines.  Folding resulted in the Himalayan Mountains, Alps etc., WARPING: The slight  bending of the Earth's crust on a broad or regional scale, either upward (upwarping) or downward (downwarping); the formation of a warp. FAULTING: Faulting happens when the Earth’s crust completely breaks and slides past each other.  Rocks along a fault tend to move in opposite directions.  Faulting results in the formation of block mountains and river valleys like the Narmada, Tapi .
